What does the tasting include?
An overview of the making of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum process. Experience the legend that is Captain Morgan Rum and sample our award winning spirits. Develop your inner mixologist as you learn how to mix our Captain Morgan portfolio. The tour includes the rum tasting and a cocktail.
How long is the tour?
The tour/tasting takes approximately 45 minutes all within the experience center (please note we do not go into the distillery). This will allow you to visit the tasting bar, enjoy a cocktail and visit the gift shop. Space is limited; we encourage you to call ahead and reserve.
Are reservations required?
Although we welcome drop-in visitors, we encourage you to call ahead or email us to ensure a successful visit to the distillery.
Is there an admission fee?
The Captain Morgan experience tour has a $20 General Admission charge for all. Guests who arrive intoxicated will not be allowed to consume during the rum tasting; it is at the guide’s discretion. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled tour. In deference to other guests, we are unable to delay the start time to accommodate late arrivals.
Do you offer or arrange transportation?
The Captain Morgan Experience does not offer transportation, however, we are happy to provide you with contact information for transportation services.
How old must I be to consume any products?
You must be 18 (with a valid I.D.) to sample or partake any of our products.
Yes, we reserve the right to card anyone; we card under 30. You must present a valid, government issued photo I.D. (Passport, Driver’s license-please note that photocopies of I.D. are not acceptable).
Are non-drinkers and under age 18 allowed on the tour?
You must be 18 (with a valid I.D.) to sample any of our products. Anyone is welcome on the experience as long as they are accompanied by someone of legal drinking age. There is a $10 fee for children under the age of 18.
Is the facility accessible?
Yes, our facility is completely accessible. There is a minimum amount of walking.
Can I drink on the tour?
Yes! You will be able to sample our Captain Morgan products and enjoy cocktails.
Can I get non-alcoholic drinks on tour?
Our tavern menu offers water, sodas and juices if you are unable to participate in our rum tasting.
Can I purchase your products when I visit for the tour?
Yes, our Captain Morgan Gift Shop carries all things branded by our fearless leader. My crew carries an assortment of spirits, t-shirts, polo shirts, glassware, barware, hats, beach towels and bags. You may purchase all products except for our spirits online; U.S. Virgin Islands laws prohibits us from selling liquor online.
Do you offer group tours?
We are always excited to share the legend of the Captain. We encourage groups of 10 or more to make reservations to check availability; one complimentary tour offered with every 20 guests. Groups larger than 20 should contact us at least a week ahead so special arrangements can be made. Pre-payment is expected for groups of 20 or more and a 24-hr. cancellation notice if necessary.
